June 13, Annual Carlsbad Beach Fest 2015
A fun-filled celebration of coastal environmental stewardship featuring live music, dancing, green product vendors, interactive booths, exhibitors, kite-flying, sand-sculpting, surfing, a massive beach cleanup,  and much more!

June 13 – 14, 19th Annual Inter-Tribal PowWow

This is a free event that features Native American dances, Native American art and crafts booths, drawings, food booths, contest dancing, and a sharing of the culture.

Food and Wine Pairing with the Opera Singing Chef

1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., San Diego Botanic Garden
This annual food and wine pairing class features local wines and mouthwatering menu items such as Tuscan-spiced chicken wings with a glaze of balsamic vinegar and tamales with a twist filled with potatoes and cilantro, topped with two salsas. For desert, Chef Elizabeth will present Mexican brownies made with Ibarra and dark bakers’ chocolates, spices and pine nuts. By the way, singing during each course is included in this fun food event. Tickets are $35 for San Diego Botanic Garden members and $42 for non-members.
